About Me--- Education/Experience
Being raised in Idaho, I graduated from Boise State University in 1978 with a BA in Marketing. In 1981, I became a Realtor in North Carolina. While busily selling property, I attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and obtained my GRI Designation (Graduate Realtors Institute). I also became a licensed Real Estate Broker. Before moving to Sacramento, I lived in Texas for a couple of years and was an active Realtor after obtaining my Broker's license. I moved to Sacramento in 1986. I continued my real estate education and got my California Broker's license in 1993.
Professional Involvement
I believe in being very active in my profession and staying involved. I believe it is an asset not only to myself, but to my clients. I have served on the Sacramento Association, California Association, and National Association of Realtors board of directors for numerous years. I have also served as chair of several committees and was President of the Sacramento Association of Realtors in 2006. I have also served as the vice-chair for the Legislative committee for the California Association of Realtors. I am probably proudest, though, of being named "Realtor of the Year" in 2006.
Results
My focus is service to my clients, but results obviously matter. Every year the Master's Club awards the top producers-- typically the top 4-5% of the local Realtors. I am very proud to say that I am an Outstanding Life Member of the Master's Club and have earned the Master's Club distinction every year since arriving in Sacramento.
Hobbies-Family
| All work and no play is not a good thing!! So, as a means of staying fit and sane, I am an avid runner. I have completed numerous marathons and do most of my training on the beautiful American River Parkway-- one of Sacramento's finest assets! My huband and I also enjoy hiking (and some backpacking), and skiing (I am a member of the National Ski Patrol). We also have a interest in vintage 356 Porsche's. We have done a complete restoration on one (a 1956 356) and a partial restoration on another (a 1963 356). We enjoy attending and particpating in car shows, but our favorite thing to do is go on pretty drives with our "car" friends. I have the best husband in the world, Bill Hambrick (also a Realtor). I also have two lovely step-daughters-- Melanie who lives in Boston, and Dayna who lives in San Diego.
